Trash - Schick
The big second hand department store of Humana tends to overs shadow Freidrichshain. Yes, it's worth a trip to Friedrichshain to visit it but, it's not the only store in the area for vintage lovers. It would be a pity to visit here and not make your way through the Boxhanger Platz area. Here you will find a number of smaller second hand and vintage shops like Trash-Schick.
We really like Trash-Schick, it's very Berlin. It has very well priced retro and second hand clothes mainly from the 70's - 90's, street wear and with some wacky 80's Berlin items tucked away.
They also have some 20's and 30's accessories. There are some well priced gems to be found here. We picked up an 80's party frock for 20 euros, and left very happy, ready to hit the dance floor.

Colours
Part of the Kleidermakt chain of vintage stores, Colours is located on the charming Bergmann Str. in Kreuzberg. It is tucked away at the back of a court yard so just look for the sign and head up the stairs. It's worth the effort. Here you will find a warehouse sized store packed with vintage/retro fashions and accessories.
They sell clothes by the kilo, which sounds great at first, but the better items are individually priced. So save the kilo shopping for summer dresses and light weight items.
Every Tuesday they have happy hour between 12 - 3pm with 20 % discount on everything.

Maurepark Flohmarkt
Mauerpark is Berlin's most popular and largest flea market ('flohmarkt'). Running along the former site of part of the Berlin wall, it's a great spot to hang out, shop and be seen.
It's all here - vintage clothes, vinyl, furniture, food, beers and even outdoor karaoke. Come and join the masses. It is better to visit the market in the warm weather. You can grab a beer, sit up on the hill and people watch into the evening. But don't let the cold put you off either. The market runs to capacity come rain or shine.
So, if you only have time to visit one flea market in Berlin, make it this one.
Prices are a little higher here and it's more crowded than other flea markets. However, it's worth it for the high volume vintage clothes, accessories and home wear you can find here.
So, dive on in and have fun!

Shoes glorious shoes! This is why Berliners come to Jumbo Second hand.
As you can see from the photos they do have a huge selection. However, it's not all about the shoes. (really did we say that?!) This store is packed with second hand and retro clothes at really reasonable prices. You are bound to find something fantastic at a tiny price to go with the pair of shoes, you just had to have.
This store is perfect if you like to rummage and it's easy to spend an hour or more here and walk away with something fun.
